Officer skin clinic · Timbertop Estate · Beaconsfield
Your skin, understood. Your first visit to Skin Atelier in Officer.
You don't need to pick a treatment before you meet me. If you're in Officer, Timbertop Estate or nearby Beaconsfield and aren't sure what your skin needs, this guide explains how we can get started together.
Skin Atelier Australia is a single, private skin studio in Officer, Victoria—not a separate clinic in Timbertop Estate or Beaconsfield. I offer one-on-one appointments, professional skin treatments and a complimentary consultation to help you make an informed choice.
Consultations are complimentary, with no obligation to buy products or book a treatment.

What happens when we meet?
A considered first conversation, in three steps.
I want your first visit to feel comfortable and useful. The complimentary consultation is a chance to ask questions and understand your options without pressure to make a purchase.
We listen first.
Tell Mel what your skin is doing, when you first noticed the concern, what you have tried and what you would like to feel more confident about. There's no need to arrive knowing your skin type.
We look at the full picture.
Your skin, products, medication, previous treatments and sensitivity help guide the discussion. If your skin looks irritated or a procedure may not be suitable, a gentler approach or a pause may be the better choice.
We make a plan that fits.
Mel will explain possible in-clinic treatments and practical home-care steps, alongside preparation and expected recovery. You can ask about costs and timing before you decide whether to book anything.
A useful place to begin
Which skin treatment might we discuss?
Different concerns call for different choices. These are examples to help you understand the options before your visit—not a diagnosis or a promise that a specific procedure will be suitable for you.
Dryness, dehydration or dullness
A hydrating facial or tailored facial may be a comfortable place to begin. Mel will check whether the concern is dryness, dehydration or sensitivity before choosing products.
Blackheads, oiliness or congestion
Purifying facial care, suitable extraction and water-based hydrodermabrasion may be discussed. Inflamed or sensitised skin can require a different plan from simple congestion.
Visible pigmentation or uneven tone
Skin history, sun exposure, tone and previous irritation matter. A considered peel or home-care plan may be appropriate for some concerns; changing or unusual spots need medical assessment first.
Acne marks, fine lines or texture
Skin needling may be considered after a consultation. Results take time, a series may be recommended, and recovery requirements are different from those of a relaxing facial.
Before your appointment
A little preparation helps.
Bring your current skincare or photographs of the labels, details of medications and recent procedures, and any questions you have about your skin. If possible, arrive without makeup for the skin assessment.
Please tell me about prescription retinoids, isotretinoin, pregnancy, cold sores, skin reactions, waxing, threading, IPL or laser treatments. Some procedures require a waiting period or a different treatment plan. Do not stop prescription medicines without your prescriber's advice.
At Skin Atelier, a minimum two-week gap is generally required before and after waxing, threading, laser, IPL and other facial skin treatments; longer recovery may be needed depending on your skin and the procedure.

Questions from first-time clients
Good to know.
Is the clinic in Timbertop Estate or Beaconsfield?
No. The clinic is in Officer, VIC 3809. Timbertop Estate is a residential community within Officer, and Beaconsfield clients are welcome to book at the Officer address.
Can I just book the free consultation?
Yes. You can attend a complimentary skin consultation, discuss a personalised care plan and leave without booking a paid treatment or purchasing skincare.
Will one appointment fix my skin concern?
Results vary. Some facial treatments may refresh skin after one visit, while concerns such as scarring and visible pigmentation can take longer and may require a course or changes to home care. Mel will discuss realistic expectations rather than promise a result.
What if I have sensitive skin or rosacea?
Please mention any redness, stinging, flares or reactions when booking. Mel understands these concerns personally and will assess your skin's current condition before recommending any procedure. Medical assessment may be appropriate for persistent or severe symptoms.
